Music Copyright Investment Succeeded in the US! Musicow US Achieves Full Sell-Out of Pop Star Kelly Clarkson Copyright Securities
Musicow US, which announced the arrival of the Korean-style cultural finance in the US market, successfully concluded its first music securities offering with pop star Kelly Clarkson's hit song ‘Mr. Know It All’ copyright as the underlying asset. 382 shares, issued at $20 per share (total $7,640, approximately 10.5 million KRW), completely sold out despite being in beta testing, proving strong interest. This is a significant milestone, indicating the potential for the K-cultural finance model to successfully establish itself in the US market.
Having formed a strategic partnership with Jay-Z's Roc Nation earlier this year, Musicow US, which has fully embarked on its US expansion, is currently conducting beta tests for a limited number of users ahead of its official service launch at the end of the year. Kelly Clarkson, the subject of this offering, is a global star, winner of 'American Idol' and recipient of three Grammy Awards. She possesses numerous hit songs such as 'Because of You' and 'Stronger' and is currently active hosting the popular talk show 'The Kelly Clarkson Show'.
In particular, Musicow US has complied with the strict Regulation A+ rules of the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), submitting its securities filing in March and receiving approval in May, thereby enhancing its credibility through thorough legal procedures. A Musicow official stated, "The strong interest confirmed even in a limited environment demonstrates the potential for cultural finance in the US market," adding, "We will actively incorporate user feedback until the official service launch to introduce a service optimized for the US market."
