Momit, KU Startup Demoday Grand Prize
Momit, which operates ‘Starting,’ an AI-based headhunting solution, recently received the Grand Prize, the highest honor, at the ‘KU Startup Funding-up Demoday,’ thereby gaining external recognition for its innovative technology and excellent business potential. At this Demoday, hosted by Konkuk University Campus Town, Momit garnered high evaluations for its technology and business expansion potential from a panel of 10 judges, consisting of investors and professors. In particular, Momit demonstrated overwhelming performance, boasting explosive sales growth of 221% year-on-year, securing over 160 clients, and achieving a high retention rate of 64%. Furthermore, Momit announced significant business achievements such as signing a viral marketing contract with a mid-sized company with a market capitalization of 700 billion won, a sole-source contract with the Korea SMEs and Startups Agency for the ‘New Industry Talent Recruitment Support Project,’ and being exclusively selected for the Gangwon Center for Creative Economy & Innovation and Douzone Bizon’s Open Innovation Project. These major accomplishments left a deep impression on the judges. Momit's core solution, the AI-based headhunting platform ‘Starting,’ hierarchically standardizes structured and unstructured data and utilizes a patented AI matching algorithm to innovatively improve the chronic inefficiencies of the existing recruitment market. Previously, it took reviewing an average of 70 candidates to select one person, but this has been shortened to hiring one person after reviewing just three candidates, thereby significantly reducing companies' hiring decision-making time and maximizing recruiters' work efficiency. On the day of the event, at the on-site round table following Momit's presentation, in-depth questions were raised by investors participating as judges regarding the solution's technological differentiation and data-driven growth potential. In response, CEO Kim Hong-chan, based on actual customer success stories and robust financial indicators, elaborated on Momit's business expansion roadmap, meeting the high expectations of investors. Regarding this Grand Prize award, CEO Kim Hong-chan stated, “This is a meaningful achievement where Momit’s dedication over the past two years to solving B2B recruitment problems and achieving revenue-based growth has been externally recognized.” He further expressed his ambition, saying, “Going forward, we will focus on leading the digital transformation (HRDX) across the entire recruitment process, beyond simple matching, to resolve the low efficiency and high costs faced by companies, and to create a predictable and efficient employment environment.” Momit is expected to leverage this award as a stepping stone to further leap forward as a leading company that transforms the paradigm of the recruitment market.
