Modusign, a leading e-signature company, has officially launched an on-premise e-signature solution for companies that found it difficult to adopt cloud services due to security regulations and internal policies. Modusign, which has been leading the market by providing its e-contract platform to Korea's leading conglomerates such as Samsung, SK, Hyundai Motor, and Lotte, as well as over 100 public institutions with its existing cloud-based service, is expected to further expand its customer base through this on-premise solution. As the on-premise solution is directly installed and operated on the client's server, it is optimized for organizations with network isolation environments or strict security requirements. Modusign stated that it developed the on-premise version to meet the strong demand from clients for whom cloud service adoption was previously restricted, and that it has already successfully supplied it to some clients and is currently discussing implementation schedules with numerous other companies. This solution offers significant advantages by ensuring lower latency compared to cloud-based methods and allowing exclusive use of CPU, memory, and network bandwidth. Furthermore, it enables data control according to a company's internal security policies and supports flexible API integration with existing systems. Particularly, it can fully implement the entire e-contract process, from document creation to signature input, contract execution, and document storage, even in internal or closed network environments where internet access is blocked, making it an essential option in highly security-sensitive environments. The key is the ability to independently store and manage e-signature data without sharing it with external cloud servers. Lee Young-jun, CEO of Modusign, emphasized, "With the launch of this on-premise solution, more companies, from public institutions and financial institutions to large enterprises whose cloud adoption was previously restricted due to security regulations and policies, can now establish a digital contract environment." He also added, "We plan to introduce an on-premise AI solution based on 'Modusign Cabinet,' our AI contract management solution," hinting at future service expansion plans.
