An innovative platform is being launched for companies aiming for the global stage. Law Firm Mission announced that it will officially launch 'MISSION Cross border Members (hereinafter 'MXM')' on June 27th to support companies expanding overseas, including global startups and venture capitalists (VCs).
MXM aims to go beyond simply sharing information, striving to be a 'community of mutual growth' that helps companies operating businesses in two or more countries overcome real-world challenges together and successfully establish themselves overseas. Leading companies and investment firms already actively conducting business in various countries such as Korea, the U.S., and Singapore form the core of MXM.
In particular, founding members operating entities in multiple countries, such as Korea-U.S., Korea-Singapore, Korea-Germany, and Korea-UAE, will share their vivid local experiences and know-how, becoming a key driving force of the community. This community plans to deeply address overseas market information and legal issues in each country, and build specialized networks by region and industry.
Based on members' actual experiences, MXM will formulate customized overseas expansion strategies and carry out practical activities to strengthen local networks. Specifically, it plans to provide continuous value to members through the establishment of an overseas expansion information system and regular regional/industry-specific seminars and networking events.
Attorney Kim Sung-hoon, the managing partner, emphasized, "Rather than navigating the challenges faced by companies preparing for or undergoing overseas expansion alone, there is a desperate need for a strong network where they can share wisdom and exchange practical help with partners who have walked similar paths." He further stated his ambition, "We hope MXM will become a hub that promotes practical information exchange and mutual cooperation, beyond just a simple gathering."
MXM plans to encourage broader participation by structuring its membership with companies operating businesses in two or more countries as full members, and companies preparing for overseas expansion as associate members. The detailed operational plans and founding member composition of MXM will be officially announced by Attorney Kim Sung-hoon, the managing partner, himself at Law Firm Mission's 4th-anniversary event held in Myeongdong, Seoul on June 27th.
