Miricanvas: 1M Global Users in 21 Months, 500% Growth Led by English-Speaking Markets
'Miricanvas,' operated by design platform company Mirid, is gaining attention for its explosive growth in overseas markets. It achieved a remarkable feat, surpassing 1.2 million cumulative overseas subscribers in just 1 year and 9 months since its global service launch. Particularly, it is receiving an enthusiastic response centered around English-speaking countries such as the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, and Australia, and in Japan, it has secured over 240,000 subscribers, firmly solidifying its position as a global design platform. The core of this success lies in its 'user-centric' differentiation strategy. Miricanvas has captivated users worldwide with its unique design styles and customized templates tailored for various professions. Furthermore, by offering high-quality AI features such as AI presentations, AI image generation, and editing with free credits, it has increased accessibility and rapidly expanded its user base. In Japan, in particular, the AI presentation feature has gained significant traction, spreading through word-of-mouth and leading to voluntary viral marketing. Building on this growth, Miricanvas plans to pursue an even stronger localization strategy by actively incorporating the demands of local loyal customers into its products. Kang Chang-seok, CEO of Mirid, stated, "Differentiated content, innovative AI functions, and customer-centric policies have generated significant traffic in overseas markets," and expressed his ambition to "present a new alternative in the global design communication market." Meanwhile, Mirid, the parent company of Miricanvas, has a strong track record of steadily building a digital design ecosystem, starting with the launch of 'Bizhouse' in 2012. In 2024, it achieved sales of 78 billion won and an operating profit of 4.7 billion won, marking its second consecutive year of black ink, and continues its robust growth, further raising expectations for Miricanvas's global advancement.
