Image processing AI startup Meiaeye has been officially invited to Europe's largest tech festival, 'Viva Technology 2025,' and is preparing for a new leap forward in Paris this July. This event, where global companies like Google and Amazon gather with innovative startups to discuss future technology trends, will serve as a crucial stepping stone for Meiaeye's entry into the European market. Last year, Meiaeye secured this invitation after its AI solution 'mAsh' was recognized for its innovation at the 'LVMH Open Innovation Program 2024' hosted by the Korea International Trade Association (KITA), where it was selected as a finalist in the 'Omnichannel & Retail' sector. At the KITA joint pavilion booth, Meiaeye plans to actively seek cooperation opportunities through active networking with retail and tech companies worldwide. Meiaeye's core solution, 'mAsh,' utilizes CCTV data from offline stores to analyze in-depth customer behavior data in real-time, including visitor flow, gender, age group, and dwell time. This provides not only Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for optimizing store operations but also diverse insights such as reactions in specific areas or interactions between staff and visitors. Notably, mAsh's strength lies in its 'de-identification technology,' which does not store personally identifiable information, perfectly complying with world-class personal data protection regulations such as GDPR and the EU AI Act, thereby providing safe yet accurate insights. Its self-developed re-identification (Re-ID) technology precisely tracks visitor movement paths even in complex environments with 92% accuracy, globally proving its technological prowess by being selected for the 'Spotlight' (top 5%) at the international AI conference ICLR 2025. Kim Chan-gyu, CEO of Meiaeye, stated, "We have focused on developing our technology to comply with strict EU regulations such as GDPR for targeting the European market, and are successfully supplying our solutions to key locations such as London, UK, and Hanoi, Vietnam." He further expressed his ambition to "strengthen cooperation with local distributors through Viva Technology and generate tangible results in the European market." Meiaeye, already recognized for its technological prowess on the global stage, including winning the CES 2024 Innovation Award and participating in IFA 2024, has secured leading domestic corporations such as LG Electronics, Hyundai Motor Company, and E-Land Fashion as clients, and is leading the digital transformation of offline spaces. At Viva Technology 2025, Meiaeye is ready to bring a fresh wave of innovation to retail spaces worldwide, beyond the European market, with its innovative AI technology.
