MarkVision, a domestic AI-based IP solution company, has significantly enhanced its 'price monitoring service' to effectively combat the chronic online market problems of 'unauthorized sales' and 'price collapse.' The surge in e-commerce platforms and the active influx of individual sellers have exponentially increased instances of branded products being sold unauthorized outside official distribution channels. The problem is that these unauthorized products not only have unclear origins and distribution channels but are often sold at absurdly low prices, undermining the brand's legitimate pricing policy and consumer trust. This directly leads to revenue loss for companies, and consumers face the risk of purchasing products with uncertain authenticity. Since last year, MarkVision has been meticulously tracking through its AI-based price monitoring service everything from official sellers' contract violations, unofficial sellers' activities, market share, and price fluctuation trends. This update further refines these functions to perfectly respond to the ever-changing e-commerce environment. Particularly noteworthy is the response to price collapse phenomena occurring on Korea's largest e-commerce platforms. These platforms operate a 'lowest price matching system' that automatically discounts products to match competitors' prices, exacerbating the profitability decline and pricing policy confusion for brands on their platforms. Now, through MarkVision's new service, companies can intuitively grasp how their average selling price compares to an appropriate level, and can directly report suspicious low-price sellers to the platform and request sanctions through the system. Furthermore, the service quantifies and provides the economic loss reduction effect achieved, helping brands verify tangible results. Several leading companies, including Lotte Chilsung and Hangil Tongsan (the official importer of Villeroy & Boch), are already utilizing this service, and this update is expected to be a powerful price management tool, particularly for brands in the daily necessities and F&B sectors. Lee In-seop, CEO of MarkVision, emphasized, "This update will contribute to protecting the long-established brand value and consumer trust, and ultimately, we will do our best to create a fair e-commerce ecosystem that satisfies both brands and consumers."
