MachinaRocks Ramps Up AI Agent Demo to Innovate Semiconductor Industry

Industrial AI specialized company MakinaRocks has been selected for a key project by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy (MOTIE), leading the AI transformation of the domestic semiconductor industry. MakinaRocks will undertake the approximately 1.3 billion KRW 'Industrial AI Semiconductor Solution Establishment and Demonstration' project from this month until June of next year. Currently, the domestic semiconductor industry faces challenges such as complex equipment data standardization, a shortage of AI professionals, and the absence of customized solutions. Particularly, data standardization and the establishment of vector DB infrastructure are difficult tasks for individual companies to solve. To simultaneously achieve process efficiency and quality improvement, an AI-based intelligent system capable of real-time analysis and control of vast manufacturing data is essential. To solve these problems, MakinaRocks formed a consortium with New Power Plasma, SurplusGLOBAL, YC, Jusung Engineering, KC Tech, and the Korea Semiconductor Industry Association. The core objective is to utilize its proprietary AI platform 'Runway (MakinaRocks Runway)' to provide customized AI agent solutions immediately applicable to semiconductor sites, thereby accelerating the AI transformation of mid-sized manufacturing companies. Specifically, a 'Quality History Management AI Agent' will be developed to integrally analyze reports before and after shipment of semiconductor equipment, fault history, and operation logs, etc., based on LLMOps. This agent will link the LLMOps environment with edge computing, supporting real-time quality analysis, automatic updates, and deployment, thereby helping manufacturers establish a 'sustainable AI autonomous operation system'. Yoon Sung-ho, CEO of MakinaRocks, stated, "Based on our diverse project experiences with global semiconductor companies, through this demonstration project, we will contribute to enhancing the manufacturing competitiveness of mid-sized semiconductor companies with readily deployable AI solutions. Furthermore, through our AI platform, we will provide a turning point for manufacturing companies to solve on-site problems themselves, innovate productivity, and strengthen their internal AI capabilities." Meanwhile, 'Runway' is a comprehensive platform encompassing all aspects of AI development and operation, from data integration to multi-model management and operations (MLOps), large language model operations (LLMOps), and agent operations (AgentOps). Based on high scalability and security, it has been applied to various industrial sites such as Hyundai Motor Company, Samsung Electro-Mechanics, and the Agency for Defense Development, helping companies internalize AI and accelerating the AI transformation across industries.
