Krafton Becomes AI-First Company, Invests ₩100 Billion

Krafton embarks on a bold voyage into the AI era. CEO CH Kim officially declared the company's transition to an 'AI First enterprise' at an internal program on the 23rd, proclaiming an 'AI-centric management system' that focuses on creative innovation beyond task automation and solving complex problems through 'Agentic AI'. This strategy aims to accelerate company-wide productivity and corporate value growth by making AI the primary solution for driving change across individuals and the organization. To this end, Krafton will invest approximately 100 billion won to build GPU clusters, strengthening AI R&D and in-game services, and plans to complete its AI platform and data integration infrastructure by the second half of 2026. Notably, starting in 2026, the company will allocate an annual budget of 30 billion won to fully support employees' use of AI tools, an extraordinary move that exceeds the existing investment scale by tenfold. To fully embed the 'AI First' culture company-wide, HR systems and organizational operating structures will also be completely overhauled. By operating 'AI Learning Hubs,' 'AI Roundtables,' and 'AI Hackathons,' a virtuous cycle ecosystem of learning, sharing, and experimentation will be established, encouraging employees to directly experience and lead the AI First culture. Through organizational restructuring, the company will support the expansion of employee roles and reinvest time and resources secured by AI into new game development and innovation projects, creating a virtuous cycle where AI utilization capabilities and creative challenges reinforce each other.
