Get a glimpse into the innovative future of K-content startups! The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Creative Content Agency (KOCCA) will participate in 'NextRise 2025, Seoul,' a global startup exhibition held at COEX in Seoul from June 26 to 27, operating the 'Korea Content Pavilion (Content Startup Joint Exhibition Hall)' to support the business growth of domestic content startups. KOCCA is participating in this event, now in its 7th year, for the third consecutive year, showcasing the power of K-content.
The Content Startup Joint Exhibition Hall, located in COEX Hall A, will be a complex exhibition space for immersive content, combining interactive technology with audiovisual elements. Particularly this year, the participation of startups that fuse cutting-edge technologies like artificial intelligence, augmented reality, computer graphics, and visual special effects with content stands out. A total of 10 innovative companies, including Nemoz Lab, Millennial Works, Beam Studio, Shining Lab, and Aydin Lab, will meet directly with investors and partners on-site to explore business opportunities.
During the event, KOCCA will operate various investment linkage programs to foster startup growth. At the 'KNOCK Special Round,' held at 2 PM on June 27 in COEX Hall B, 10 content startups that have demonstrated growth potential and marketability through KOCCA's support programs will hold an investment attraction presentation, showcasing their capabilities and business expansion strategies to domestic and international investors and financial institution representatives. OmniArt, Aydin Lab, KENAZ, Dizard, and others will participate, demonstrating the potential of K-content.
On the same day at 4:30 PM, a lecture by an industry expert will follow, offering insights into the present and future of the content industry. Lee Min-seok, CEO of Whynot Media, will speak as a presenter, sharing in-depth insights on global conversion and market entry strategies for digital content IP.
Yoo Hyun-seok, Acting President of KOCCA, emphasized, "Strengthening the competitiveness of K-content startups is a key task for becoming a cultural powerhouse," adding that this joint exhibition hall will be an important opportunity to expand the scope of international exchange and broaden contact with investors. Furthermore, KOCCA plans to additionally host the 'K-Content Industry Special Round' in July, in collaboration with the Korea Development Bank, to further strengthen follow-up investment attraction and private sector cooperation. This NextRise is expected to serve as an important stepping stone for K-content startups' global leap.
