K-Content Leads Innovation at Paris VivaTech, Paving the Way for Global Advancement! The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Creative Content Agency (KOCCA) participated in 'VivaTech 2025', Europe's largest startup technology exhibition held in Paris, France, from June 11 to 14, showcasing the global competitiveness of K-Content startups. Now in its 9th year, VivaTech is a prestigious event that gathers over 14,000 innovative startups and approximately 180,000 visitors from around the world. KOCCA successfully operated the 'K-Content Startup Pavilion' there, introducing 10 domestic companies that combine creativity and technological prowess to the world. The pavilion featured innovative companies from various fields, including 'Danstructure' with K-Pop choreography 3D motion technology, 'Deepixel' for virtual try-on solutions, 'Visual Sin' for AI content creation, and 'Playcurio' for AR-based children's educational content. In cooperation with the French Business Center, customized services such as pre-matching with buyers, localization consulting, and interpretation support were provided, actively assisting participating companies in their overseas expansion. As a result, a remarkable achievement was made with a total of 343 business meetings, export consultations totaling 6.62 million USD (approximately 9 billion KRW), and the signing of 4 Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs). In addition to operating the pavilion, on the 13th, at 'Pitch Studio', VivaTech's official pitching stage, a 'Super Pitch Korea 2025' session was held in collaboration with the Korea SMEs and Startups Agency. Under the two themes of lifestyle & creative innovation, and smart technology & mobility innovation, 15 K-startups presented their innovative technologies and content convergence models to global investors and stakeholders, actively seeking opportunities for overseas expansion and investment attraction. Kim Il-joong, Head of KOCCA's Content Infrastructure Division, emphasized that this participation in VivaTech served as an important bridgehead for K-Content startups to successfully enter the global ecosystem, and stated that KOCCA will continue to spare no effort in supporting the overseas expansion and growth of content startups that combine creativity and technology. Building on this success, KOCCA plans to expand its participation in major global exhibitions such as 'GITEX Expand North Star' in the UAE and 'SWITCH' in Singapore, and will fully launch the 'Launchpad' accelerating program, spanning the US, Middle East, and Asia, starting in July, thereby further accelerating the strengthening of K-Content startups' global competitiveness.
