Kmong Secures Simultaneous Domestic and Global Information Security Certifications (ISMS, ISO)

Kmong, a leading domestic freelance platform, has simultaneously acquired domestic and international information security certifications, laying a solid foundation for its global leap. It has achieved the remarkable feat of simultaneously obtaining the Information Security Management System (ISMS) certification from the Korea Internet & Security Agency (KISA) and information security certifications from the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). The ISMS certification is the most authoritative domestic information security standard, promulgated by the Ministry of Science and ICT and the Personal Information Protection Commission. It rigorously assesses whether a company's information security system complies with national standards across 80 criteria, and its importance is further highlighted in the era of digital transformation. Kmong, in the 'Online Platform Service Operation' sector, successfully passed all 80 certification criteria and 234 detailed inspection items, from the establishment of its management system to the requirements for protection measures, thereby obtaining its initial ISMS certification (ISMS-KISA-2025-001). This is regarded as the culmination of Kmong's efforts to build customer trust, including establishing an honest review culture and enhancing payment security. Regarding international certifications, Kmong has acquired both the Information Security Management System (ISO 27001) and Cloud Service Information Security Controls (ISO 27017) certifications. ISO 27001 is an international standard for an organization's information security management system, and ISO 27017 is a key standard providing guidelines for information security controls in a cloud environment. This officially recognizes Kmong's information security capabilities not only domestically but also internationally. Leveraging the acquisition of these certifications, Kmong plans to further elevate its information security level to global standards.
