After a 13-year journey, Kmong, Korea's leading freelancer platform, opens the door to a new era. Going beyond a simple logo change, it has declared its firm identity as an 'expert business platform' and completely revamped its Brand Identity (BI). This change is a strategic aspiration to redefine Kmong's essence and clearly present its future vision, beyond mere visual improvement.
Kmong, which took its first steps as a 'talent marketplace' in 2012, has evolved beyond a 'freelancer market' into a 'human cloud platform' where top-tier professionals like lawyers, tax accountants, and IT developers can collaborate freely with businesses. In line with this remarkable growth, the brand has also donned new attire.
At the heart of the new BI is a 'wordmark' that features the brand name itself as the logo. It embodies a strong will for the name 'Kmong' itself to be recognized as synonymous with 'expert platform,' no longer relying on a symbolic character. Each letter in the logo is gracefully connected by smooth curves, symbolizing the flexible collaboration of experts, while the upward trend promises continuous growth for both clients and experts. Furthermore, the stable, bold typeface visually embodies professionalism and unwavering trust.
The color palette has also undergone innovation. By adding 'green,' a symbol of growth and stability, to the existing 'Kmong Yellow,' 'Kmong Green' is introduced as the new main color. This expresses the platform's solid trust and sustainable future value, in addition to the creativity and diversity that Kmong pursues.
Through this BI renewal, Kmong aims to solidify a strong foundation so that the name 'Kmong' itself becomes a unique asset of the expert platform and can flexibly adapt to various business expansions in the future. A Kmong official emphasized that "it is a strategic choice that inherits the assets of the past 13 years while also encompassing an evolved business identity and a clear future vision." This new brand identity will soon be visible across all customer touchpoints, including the website and mobile app.
