KakaoBank is gaining significant popularity by alleviating anxieties in the jeonse market. The 'Smart Jeonse Management' service, launched last December, achieved the remarkable feat of surpassing 100,000 users in just six months. This service acts as a smart assistant that systematically diagnoses the safety of a jeonse home by analyzing key information such as the cadastral registry, building ledger, and market price, and kindly guides users through the complex pre- and post-move procedures. It boasts excellent accessibility as any KakaoBank customer aged 17 or older can use it for free. Looking at the user age distribution, those in their 30s and 40s account for 55%, and those 50 and older account for 28%, proving its wide appeal from younger generations to middle-aged and older adults. The service categorizes jeonse home safety into four levels: 'Safe', 'Relatively Safe', 'Caution', and 'Caution (Warning)', and sends immediate notifications to customers if any changes occur through weekly updates. Surprisingly, 38% of the diagnostic results over the past six months were classified as 'Caution' or 'Caution (Warning)' grades. This is often due to recent records of rights infringement or ongoing applications related to ownership, raising awareness of jeonse home risks. To further alleviate customer anxieties, KakaoBank has enhanced its service. From mid-month, in partnership with the legal comprehensive portal 'Lotalk', it will provide customers who receive a 'Caution' grade or lower with a '15-minute phone consultation coupon (up to 30,000 KRW)'. By selecting 'Consult a Jeonse Specialist Lawyer' on the jeonse home safety diagnostic results page, customers can receive a coupon, choose a desired lawyer via the Lotalk mobile app, and receive a phone consultation. A KakaoBank official stated, "We have enhanced the completeness of the service to not just provide convenience but also alleviate the vague anxieties related to jeonse homes." They added, "We plan to actively support customers' more convenient and safer residential lives by introducing a variety of housing-related services in the future."
