CareRing Launches Integrated Medical-Care Healthcare Model… Implementing 'Home-Visiting' Customized Senior Care
CareRing, a company specializing in senior care, is accelerating the breaking down of boundaries between medical and care services to usher in an elder-centered integrated healthcare era. Through a recent business agreement with Yonsei Rheuma & Internal Medicine Clinic, CareRing is creating an environment where seniors with mobility difficulties can comfortably receive medical services at home, thus officially stepping up to resolve medical blind spots.
This agreement goes beyond simply providing medical and care services in parallel, focusing on fundamentally improving the quality of life for seniors by organically connecting the two areas. Both parties will participate in the Primary Care Home Visit Medical Fee Pilot Project organized by the Ministry of Health and Welfare, where professional medical staff will directly visit seniors' residences to provide necessary medical services. In particular, by having medical staff and professional caregivers collaborate closely, they will create synergy to provide customized care optimized for each senior's health condition, further strengthening the integrated care system.
What is particularly noteworthy is the introduction of 'home-visiting vaccination services'. Currently, the government provides free national vaccinations, such as for influenza, to seniors aged 65 and over, but many seniors who find it difficult to visit hospitals often miss out on these benefits due to mobility restrictions. CareRing plans to resolve these difficulties through the home visit medical service and will be the first to introduce home-visiting vaccination services as a proactive measure for seniors to have a healthy winter. This goes beyond simply providing medical services, demonstrating a commitment to actively contribute to seniors' preventive health management.
The service will initially target seniors in certain areas, including Gangbuk-gu, Seoul, who are utilizing CareRing's home care services and require medical attention. CareRing plans to actively seek partnerships with various medical institutions for future nationwide service expansion, and broaden its reach so that more seniors can benefit from integrated healthcare.
Shin Seung-hwan, Director of Yonsei Rheuma & Internal Medicine Clinic, stated, "Seniors who have difficulty visiting hospitals often miss opportune treatment times, leading to a worsening of their health." He emphasized the importance of this agreement, saying, "By providing customized medical care directly at the patient's residence through home visits, medical professionals can significantly contribute to resolving medical blind spots."
Kim Tae-sung, CEO of CareRing, stated, "CareRing will focus not merely on providing care services, but on building an integrated healthcare ecosystem where medical and long-term care are organically connected." He expressed his aspiration to "enhance the quality of care through elder-centered integrated care, while continuously innovating services to support healthy and happy lives for seniors in their later years." CareRing's current initiative is anticipated to present a new paradigm that aligns with the aging society and improves the quality of life for seniors.
