Epopsoft, which operates the AI English learning app 'Malhebobka,' achieved dazzling results not only domestically but also on the global stage, marking a double celebration. Epopsoft achieved the feat of simultaneously winning the 'Million Dollar Export Tower' and the 'Service Tower' awards at the recently held 62nd Trade Day ceremony.
This award is the result of Epopsoft successfully deploying its global version, 'EPOP,' and establishing itself in markets with high demand for English education, such as Japan, Taiwan, and Spanish-speaking countries. Notably, by also receiving the 'Service Tower' award, which is given to top-performing companies in the education sector, Epopsoft's value as an innovative educational service, beyond mere export performance, was internationally recognized.
Epopsoft's global expansion journey has steadily continued since its domestic launch in 2019. Following its successful entry into the Japanese market in 2023, the company boldly expanded its service areas to Taiwan and Spanish-speaking regions this past May. As a result of these efforts, cumulative downloads reached a monumental 8 million as of July, and overseas sales accounted for approximately 22% of total revenue in the first half of this year, demonstrating robust growth in the global market.
In particular, the strong performance in the Taiwanese market clearly demonstrates EPOP's global potential. Since its launch in Taiwan last May, the app has consistently maintained a top position in the education category of local app markets, and captivated local users by recording rapid growth, reaching #1 in the Apple App Store's education category in October and #1 overall in November.
The secret to this success lay in its thorough localization strategy. Epopsoft maximized user satisfaction by not only establishing country-specific payment systems but also through content localization that deeply understood and reflected local linguistic and cultural characteristics.
Kim Woo-jun, CEO of Epopsoft, is not resting on the laurels of this award, but has set an even grander goal: "achieving 10 million global downloads." He expressed his ambition to further strengthen the company's position in overseas markets by intensifying high-quality content development and localization strategies. Attention is now focused on whether Epopsoft's AI English learning app 'EPOP' will leap forward to become a beloved global edutech company for users worldwide.
