Happy Moonday has declared an innovative leap, opening new horizons in the menstrual product market and directly building its manufacturing infrastructure. Happy Moonday, which has internalized production capabilities in addition to products, services, and content, plans to acquire Boram Donghae as a subsidiary and relaunch it as 'Boldy Co., Ltd.', directly led by CEO Kim Do-jin.
This acquisition is Happy Moonday's core strategy to stably provide high-quality menstrual products. The ambition is to directly manage all manufacturing processes and immediately reflect customer feedback in products, thereby maximizing satisfaction. Veteran operators with over 20 years of experience and experts who share Happy Moonday's vision will join to drive production stability and innovation, and starting from the first half of this year, Happy Moonday's sanitary pad line will be produced at this factory.
Furthermore, Happy Moonday aims to improve the overall quality and expand the diversity of the sanitary pad market by seeking OEM collaborations with various brands in the industry through its own factory. Based on 7 years of accumulated brand operation know-how, it presented a vision to closely connect all stakeholders in the menstrual product ecosystem, including consumers, manufacturing sites, brands, and raw material suppliers, to lead co-growth. It also plans to establish its own laboratory for material development and research, accelerating future innovations in menstrual products.
CEO Kim Do-jin expressed a strong will, stating, "We are transplanting our original intention of improving the menstrual experience directly into the manufacturing site, embarking on a new leap as an 8-year-old company that will change the paradigm of women's health management."
Happy Moonday has led the market in quality and diversity since 2016, introducing organic cotton sanitary pads and Korea's first digital tampons. It has already established a unique position in the women's health sector by operating 'Heymoon,' a menstrual management super app used by over 30% of women in their 20s, and women's health content that has garnered 19 million views. This factory acquisition will be a significant step that marks a milestone in this journey of innovation.
