Gyeonggi Innovation Center, KB Kookmin Bank: KB Unicorn Club 5 Demo Day

A meaningful event, where the brilliant achievements of innovative startups were showcased in one place and momentum for future growth was solidified, successfully concluded. Gyeonggi Center for Creative Economy & Innovation (hereinafter Gyeonggi CCEI) announced that it successfully held the 'KB Unicorn Club 5th Demoday' at KB Kookmin Bank's new building on the 4th. The KB Unicorn Club is a core support program launched in 2021 by Gyeonggi CCEI and KB Kookmin Bank, who joined forces to revitalize Korea's startup ecosystem and nurture promising companies into unicorns. Since its inception, it has discovered a remarkable 56 companies to date, providing comprehensive support including investment attraction, professional acceleration, opportunities for global market entry, and open innovation linkages with large corporations. This demoday was organized as a platform for harmony, where 10 companies selected for the KB Unicorn Club 5th program shared the remarkable achievements they had made over the past year and further solidified networking among participating companies. Key stakeholders, including Kim Kyung-nam, Managing Director of KB Kookmin Bank's ESG & Co-prosperity Division, attended the event, spending meaningful time supporting and encouraging the growth of startups. Notably, the highlight of the event was the session where all 10 participating companies from the 5th cohort took the stage to present their major business achievements over the past year, along with their ambitious growth plans for the future. After each company's presentation, evaluators from leading domestic venture capital (VC) firms and accelerators (ACs) such as BDC Accelerator, Murex Partners, Bluepoint Partners, and Intellectual Discovery participated, offering sharp insights and practical advice on customized growth strategies for each company, collectively exploring pathways for future leaps. An official from Gyeonggi CCEI commented, "This demoday was a meaningful occasion where participating companies shared the growth achieved through a year of passionate effort, laying a solid foundation for even greater leaps forward."
