AI audio technology leader Gaudio Lab is accelerating the global expansion of K-content by joining the 'AI Dubbing-Specialized K-FAST Expansion Support Project' hosted by the Ministry of Science and ICT and the Korea Association for ICT Promotion. Gaudio Lab will supply content localization technology, having been chosen by half of the consortia finally selected for this project. This project was planned to seek new avenues for the Korean media industry amid the rapidly changing global OTT market. Its core objective is to strategically target the next-generation global OTT market, specifically free ad-supported streaming TV (FAST). With the goal of building AI dubbing-specialized K-FAST channels using AI-based localization technology and spreading K-media and content worldwide, the government is investing a total budget of 8 billion won. Gaudio Lab contributes to this project through its innovative AI-based localization solution, 'Gaudio Studio Pro'. This solution batch-processes complex localization tasks essential for overseas export content, such as AI dubbing, background music replacement, and automatic cue sheet generation, all within a single platform. It boasts remarkable efficiency, significantly reducing production costs compared to manual work and shortening localization time by over 90%. Furthermore, it automatically performs multilingual dubbing using AI while perfectly recreating the mastering effects of the original content. Particularly, the core of 'Gaudio Studio Pro' is its AI sound source separation technology. This technology precisely separates dialogue, music, and sound effects from a video's master track, being utilized for dubbing or resolving copyright issues. Its technological prowess has already been globally recognized by winning a CES 2024 Innovation Award. (The AI sound source recommendation and automatic placement system won a CES 2025 Innovation Award.) Oh Hyuno, CEO of Gaudio Lab, stated, "The success of content localization hinges on speed, accuracy, and high quality." He emphasized that 'Gaudio Studio Pro', equipped with proven sound source separation technology, was chosen by the most consortia due to its recognized strengths in these areas. He added that Gaudio Lab will contribute with even greater responsibility to the spread of K-content going forward. Gaudio Lab plans to demonstrate 'Gaudio Studio Pro' at the IBC International Broadcasting Convention in the Netherlands this September, aiming to target the global market.
