'Shod' is an original short-form drama content exclusively available on Loop. It can be viewed through the newly created 'Shod' tab within the Loop tab of the Daum app and at the top of the mobile web, with sequential updates beginning today. A key feature is that new works will be released every Wednesday, and all episodes of every work will be provided for free. Each drama consists of 30 to 60 short videos, approximately 1 to 2 minutes in length, and all episodes are released simultaneously, allowing for an immersive "binge-watching" experience.
The first 'Shod' title is the romance series , based on a popular webtoon. It tells the chaotic story of Jung Se-jeong, the owner of a ghost laundry, and Ma Do-jun, a bachelor ghost unable to find peace. Actress Kim Hyang-gi takes on her first lead role in a short-form drama, raising expectations. This work, consisting of a total of 62 episodes, is available for immediate viewing starting today.
In the future, 'Shod' plans to showcase diverse genres, including comedy, thriller, and romance, based on popular IPs and original content. Next week, the romance series , based on a fantasy web novel, will be released, followed by the sketch comedy , directed by Jin Kyung-hwan, known for web dramas such as and <72 Seconds Series>.
Daum plans to continuously strengthen its Loop service, leveraging this rebranding and content diversification. It will expand cooperation with short-form content production companies and gradually operate user participation programs such as challenges and special exhibitions. Furthermore, it plans to enhance user convenience through advanced recommendation algorithms and improved usability. Lee Ho-won, Kakao Media Platform Leader, stated, "We have strengthened originality by adding Shod to 'Daum Loop,' which provides highly reliable content," and added, "We will continue to expand well-made original content by collaborating with various short-form drama production companies."
