Enrise, which operates the online home training platform 'QUAT' and the social discovery service 'WIPPY', is drawing attention as it has finally succeeded in turning its consolidated operating profit to black after four years.
Enrise achieved consolidated sales of KRW 43.4 billion and operating profit of KRW 549 million in 2024, setting a new record for its best performance since its establishment. In particular, operating profit surged by an impressive 113.7% year-on-year, showing a clear recovery.
The key drivers of growth were, as expected, its flagship services, QUAT and WIPPY. QUAT accurately identified the increased demand for systematic health management, providing a variety of subscription-based exercise programs and building long-term relationships with users. As a result, its sales increased by 17.7% year-on-year, active subscribers grew by 6.9%, and new subscription revenue surged by an impressive 39.3%, proving the solid potential of its subscription business model.
WIPPY focused on securing user trust. By introducing AI-based identity verification and the 'PASS Mobile ID Verification Service', it thoroughly blocked inappropriate activities on the platform, successfully creating a safe and healthy communication environment. This led to remarkable achievements, with a 70% reduction in related activities and inflows, and a 60% reduction in reports, significantly boosting the platform's reliability.
Enrise plans to continue its growth this year. QUAT will accelerate its transformation into a 'health tech platform' by going beyond simple exercise content to develop innovative exercise equipment that is miniaturized and modularized for home use, and expanding customized content, thereby providing solutions that cover users' entire lifestyles.
In Korea, WIPPY plans to enhance reliability by further strengthening its AI and machine learning-based matching algorithms and unhealthy user blocking systems. Simultaneously, it has ambitious plans to seriously target the Japanese market and expand its global user base.
Kim Bong-gi, CEO of Enrise, evaluated these results as 'the fruit of continuous cost optimization and service advancement.' He also revealed his ambition to go beyond securing profitability this year by further specializing customer-tailored exercise content and AI-based friend recommendation technology, aiming to leap forward as a 'platform that brings joy to everyday life.'
