**Elice Group Breaks Down Educational Barriers with AI Captioning Technology: Leading the Way in Including Teachers with Hearing Impairments**
Elice Group, a specialist in AI education solutions, is lowering the barriers in the educational field by introducing technology that dramatically expands opportunities for teachers with hearing impairments to participate in training. Elice Group announced that it has fully integrated AI-based real-time automatic captioning functionality into its 'Elice School' teacher training platform. This is considered an important advancement in realizing the value of inclusion that technology offers.
The newly introduced real-time automatic captioning feature boasts over 90% excellent speech-to-text conversion accuracy. Thanks to this, teachers with hearing impairments can accurately understand any training content in real-time and without error. This creates an environment where they can actively participate without missing the flow of the lecture and enjoy high-quality educational opportunities. In particular, this technology is even more meaningful because it was developed in response to the earnest request of a teacher with a hearing impairment. It is an exemplary case of responding immediately to the voices from the field and meeting practical needs.
Starting this year, 2024, Elice School has partnered with provincial and metropolitan offices of education across the country, including Seoul, Busan, and Incheon, to actively operate teacher training programs, leading the digital transformation of the education system. The introduction of this AI captioning function is part of these efforts, and Elice Group plans to continue strengthening teachers' digital accessibility and building an environment where everyone can participate without being marginalized.
Kim Jae-won, CEO of Elice Group, expressed a strong commitment to the adoption of this technology. He stated, "Elice Group's vision is to create a barrier-free educational environment for everyone through AI technology," and added, "We will continue to develop barrier-free functions and do our best to build an inclusive educational environment where all teachers can grow together." These actions by Elice Group prove that technology can be a powerful means to enhance inclusion in education and provide equal opportunities for everyone, going beyond being a mere tool.
