## 8TTECH Achieves CES 2026 Innovation Award Triumph with Mobile AI Resource Circulation Solution ‘Multi-tron’
8TTECH, a company leading sustainable resource circulation through AI and robotics technology, has been honored with the 'CES 2026 Innovation Award' for its innovative mobile AI resource circulation solution, ‘Multi-tron’. This is expected to serve as an opportunity to demonstrate 8TTECH's unique technological prowess and future-oriented vision to the entire world.
The CES Innovation Award is a prestigious award bestowed upon technologies recognized for their most outstanding innovation among countless products exhibited worldwide. As it is selected based on a comprehensive evaluation of product innovation, engineering completeness, design excellence, and positive impact on society, Multi-tron's award this time carries even deeper significance.
In particular, Multi-tron clinched the Innovation Award in the ‘Smart Communities’ category, earning recognition for its value as a core technology for the future of smart cities. The Smart Communities category is awarded to technologies that contribute to realizing sustainable urban environments and vibrant communities, encompassing broad evaluation criteria such as smart city infrastructure development, increased efficiency in urban resource management, and optimized energy efficiency. Multi-tron's win in this category signifies its potential to improve the quality of urban life and make substantial contributions to solving environmental problems.
8TTECH's Multi-tron is an AI-based mobile system capable of immediately sorting and collecting waste generated in densely populated urban living spaces such as multi-use facilities, apartment complexes, large-scale concert venues, and stadiums. Moving away from existing inefficient waste treatment methods, it aims to dramatically increase the resource circulation rate through immediate sorting at the source of generation.
The core of Multi-tron lies in its ‘Dump & Go’ structure, which maximizes user convenience. When a user inputs waste, a sophisticated AI vision system integrated within Multi-tron automatically recognizes the type of waste. Subsequently, highly trained robotic arms accurately separate and sort the recognized waste in real-time, maximizing its potential for resource recovery. This process is fully automated without human intervention, thereby simultaneously enhancing the efficiency and cleanliness of waste processing.
An 8TTECH official stated, “Multi-tron goes beyond mere technological prowess; it is a product that perfectly harmonizes user-friendly design and cutting-edge engineering,” adding, “It received particularly high praise from the judging panel in this aspect.” This is interpreted as a result reflecting 8TTECH's philosophy, which considers not only technical completeness but also user experience and aesthetic value.
Park Tae-hyung, CEO of 8TTECH, expressed his delight about the award, saying, “I am very pleased that Multi-tron, our mobile AI resource circulation solution, has won the CES Innovation Award.” He further revealed his aspiration: “Using this award as a stepping stone, we will continue to accelerate the transition to a circular economy based on AI and robotics technology, and focus on developing technologies that innovatively enhance urban environmental efficiency, thereby making a positive impact on humanity and the environment.”
Meanwhile, 8TTECH will set up a booth in the Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority (IFEZ) joint pavilion at the upcoming CES 2026 and showcase its leading technologies in the field of resource circulation. Through 8TTECH's comprehensive resource circulation solution lineup, which includes the award-winning Multi-tron, as well as the AI waste sorting robot ‘Atron’ and the AI-based automated waste sorting facility ‘AIRO-MRF’, it is expected to present sustainable directions for future cities. 8TTECH is anticipated to further solidify its position in the global resource circulation market through this award.
