ePapyrus, a company specializing in document AI, is drawing attention as its global SaaS platform ‘PDF.co’, acquired in 2023, has recorded explosive growth in just two years. PDF.co is a cloud service platform that provides a wide range of functions necessary for PDF document processing in API form, playing a crucial role in building document management systems and implementing services for businesses and developers worldwide. The number of service subscribers, which was 1,215 at the time of acquisition in June 2023, has increased more than threefold to 3,638 as of June 2025, and Monthly Recurring Revenue (MRR) has also grown more than 2.3 times, from $600,000 to $1.44 million. Key drivers of this growth include its extensive service area spanning 45 countries worldwide, along with successful integrations with workflow automation platforms such as ‘Zapier’ and ‘Make’. Revenue generated through workflow integrations, in particular, accounts for more than half of the total, forming the foundation for sustained growth. Furthermore, the development of innovative new features like ‘AI Invoice Parser’ and ‘PDF Compress’ has significantly contributed to user growth by meeting customer demands. Kim Jung-hee, CEO of ePapyrus, stated that the company is focusing on expanding its services in line with the AI era. In May, the company began integration with ‘n8n’, a platform specialized in AI workflows, and by June, it plans to support the use of external data and tools by AI models through the establishment of its own MCP server (Model Context Protocol Server) for AI service users. PDF.co operates under the strict ‘SOC 2 Type 2’ information security certification system of ePapyrus's U.S. subsidiary, Artifex Inc., boasting high service reliability.
