Domestic edutech startup Davida has been finally selected for Royal Air Maroc (RAM)'s 'Digital Open Innovation Program'. This program is a global open innovation project that RAM is pursuing with startups worldwide to solve real operational challenges and customer-centric problems.
Davida proposed its automated formatting platform and Ginny Pen-based solution, which were recognized for their high relevance to the core challenges RAM aims to address. RAM has promised Davida full support for a Proof of Concept (PoC) and customized technical assistance from internal experts, as well as opportunities for on-site collaboration in Casablanca, Morocco, and a presentation opportunity to the CEO and management at the final demo day.
Davida's proposed solution is a proven technology that has already passed PoC with French global company EQUANS Group and entered the paid PoC phase. This solution digitizes all documents and provides the ability to output data in various formats such as Excel, CSV, and PDF through an error correction interface. Its high potential for improving work efficiency through a hybrid workflow in areas such as airline customer response, security document processing, checklists, and digital transformation of internal documents was highly evaluated, drawing RAM's attention.
RAM's Digital Innovation Team will conduct a direct collaboration program with Davida in Casablanca, Morocco, from June 10th to 13th, planning to evaluate the solution's actual applicability on-site.
Davida CEO Lee Eun-seung stated, "Through this collaboration with Royal Air Maroc, we have confirmed that Davida's solution can expand beyond the education sector into various industrial fields such as aviation, security, and document management," adding, "We will demonstrate how Davida's technology can be utilized in practical settings worldwide."
Davida plans to actively pursue the global expansion of its solution and its application across various industries, including aviation, logistics, and public administration, using this PoC as an opportunity. Davida has previously received numerous awards both domestically and internationally, including being selected as a Startup Wheel Top 30 startup, winning the grand prize at the Startup Idea Contest, and receiving a 2024 CES Innovation Award, thus being recognized for its technological prowess and potential for overseas market expansion.
