The Daegyeong-region Angel Investment Hub of the Korea Angel Investor Association successfully hosted the '2nd Angelwave IR CAMP of 2025' to significantly strengthen the investment attraction capabilities of local startups. This camp, held for two days from the 4th at The-K Hotel Gyeongju, was operated as a program specifically designed to support early-stage startups in Daegu and Gyeongbuk in successfully securing seed investment.
The camp consisted of an immersive curriculum combining theory and practical training. The first day began with a special lecture on 'How to Create IR Materials that Persuade Investors', followed by mock IR presentations from participating companies and in-depth group coaching. On the second day, after coaching focused on IR deck refinement and storytelling, final IR presentations were conducted in front of professional investors and accelerators, providing an opportunity to showcase each company's innovative technology and business model.
Eleven promising startups from various fields, including bio-health, mobility, robotics, and medical devices, participated. In particular, 'Bichedam', a company developing natural product-based treatments for degenerative diseases, recently secured Pre-A investment worth 1 billion won from the Korea Technology Finance Corporation (KODIT), and demonstrated notable achievements such as its main new drug pipeline entering the clinical trial stage.
The Daegyeong-region Angel Investment Hub plans to operate a total of four Angelwave IR Camps quarterly this year, and has already successfully completed two. Center Director Yoo Ji-hyun stated, "We will continuously expand practical investment opportunities for startups through intensive mentoring and investor matching." The Daegyeong-region Angel Investment Hub will continue to lead the revitalization of the Daegu-Gyeongbuk startup ecosystem.
