CrossHub-Gadget Korea, eSIM Supply Agreement for International Students
At the Singapore Fintech Festival (SFF), Crosshub, a global leader in identity verification, and Gadget Korea, an innovative eSIM platform, formed a strategic alliance for the future. Through this supply contract, Gadget Korea will participate as a key official partner in Crosshub's ambitious 'International Student Living Management Platform (ISLMP),' providing essential communication convenience for international students' lives in Korea. Both companies plan to expand their services to approximately 270,000 international students in Korea starting in 2026. This solution is part of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport's Smart City project in 2025 and a regulatory sandbox-approved project in collaboration with the Ministry of Justice and the Ministry of Education, which helps international students settle stably in Korea through a 'D2 Longstay' visa issuance and management system that complements the existing D2 visa framework. Leveraging its global eSIM brand 'USIMSA's' service experience in 230 countries worldwide and accumulated know-how from 5 million users, Gadget Korea will seamlessly integrate its eSIM services into Crosshub's 'IDBlock' platform. Starting with a pilot operation at RISE-participating universities in the Wonju area of Gangwon-do, the plan is to expand to over 400 universities nationwide in the future, proactively providing essential communication convenience to international students. Kang Hyun-muk, Director of Gadget Korea, emphasized that this cooperation goes beyond merely participating as an eSIM operator in Crosshub's IDBlock, and will serve as an important bridgehead for joint entry into the Southeast Asian and North American markets. Kim Sang-yoon, Director of Crosshub, also expressed his ambition to accelerate global market expansion based in overseas branches such as Singapore, through synergy with Gadget Korea, which has actively responded to changes in the eSIM market. This partnership is expected to provide international students with a more convenient and stable settlement environment in Korea, and for both companies, it is anticipated to be an important stepping stone for pioneering innovation by creating new business growth opportunities in smart city and global markets.
