Creatrip, a platform for foreign tourists visiting Korea, is revolutionizing the Korean travel experience by putting artificial intelligence (AI) technology at the forefront. This service expansion, announced on the 16th, aims to provide AI-based personalized services at every moment of a trip to Korea, from travel planning and local information discovery to emergency response.
In line with the 'Emotional Assistant AI' trend presented by the Korea Tourism Organization, Creatrip is entrusting simple information searches and cumbersome reservation procedures to AI, helping travelers to focus solely on the intrinsic joys of travel.
The first notable feature is the 'AI Travel Itinerary Agent.' It identifies user preferences through conversations and suggests customized itineraries considering optimal routes. For example, even to a question like "Where can I stop on the way from Myeongdong to Hongdae?", the AI provides a smart answer by considering geographical characteristics. Personalized recommendation features have also been enhanced; the 'AI Recommended Search Terms' in the search bar present popular keywords in real-time, and the 'Product Recommendation System' on the home screen learns from user purchase and viewing history to automatically display suitable products.
AI also breaks down the language barrier, a long-standing challenge for foreign tourists. The 'AI Multilingual Translation System' automatically translates Creatrip's blogs and content into four languages: English, Taiwanese (Traditional Chinese), Hong Kongese (Traditional Chinese), and Japanese, resolving communication difficulties.
For unforeseen situations or urgent inquiries during a trip, the 'Customer Service AI Agent' responds with immediate answers within 1 minute. It can handle practical tasks such as booking confirmations, changes, and cancellations 24 hours a day, providing seamless support even late at night or on weekends. Creatrip aims to automate 70% of all customer inquiries through this system.
To advance these AI services, Creatrip has established a dedicated in-house organization called 'AI Cell' and introduced its self-developed platform, 'AI Creatrip,' into its operations. Through various programs like the 'My Friend AI Challenge' and 'Focused Utilization Time,' employees are encouraged to actively use AI technology in service planning and operations, thereby solidifying its 'AI First' system.
Lim Hye-min, CEO of Creatrip, emphasized, "The positive impact of AI on the travel industry, including multilingual support and real-time responses, is immense. Through an 'AI First' strategy, from service development to organizational culture, we will provide advanced convenience and personalized experiences to foreign travelers."
