Innovative startups poised to lead the future of the sports industry are preparing for a new leap forward with the intensive support of CNTTECH. The '2025 Sports Industry Startup Leap Center' program, hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Sports Promotion Foundation and operated by CNTTECH for the fourth consecutive year, has selected its final 13 companies and is now fully underway. This program focuses on helping early-stage and growth-stage startups in the sports sector successfully establish themselves in the market and scale up. Beyond mere support, CNTTECH plans to make direct investments totaling 500 million KRW in the selected outstanding companies. Additionally, it provides a strong foundation for their tangible growth, including connections to government R&D funds like TIPS, specialized training to strengthen business capabilities, customized mentoring, IR consulting for investment attraction, and opportunities for active networking with investors and large corporations, as well as participation in demo days. The 13 companies selected this time showcase innovative ideas and technological prowess across various areas of the sports industry. Rudimentary, which aims to be a running platform; Mangrove Solutions, smart exercise equipment for people with and without disabilities; Mint Members, a sports/fashion care SaaS; and Bark, smart footwear for personalized foot health management, are drawing attention. Also included are Ad, an interactive ad-based sports marketing company; Ascent Sports, sports energy supplements; Oneighty, developing biodegradable eco-friendly sports fabrics; Uniyuni, a sports facility space management solution; and EX Healthcare, a topical muscle booster. In addition, Comma's Company, a sports recovery platform; Poomae, a swimming analysis wearable device; Humanics, an AI-connected healthcare robot; and Human Performance Lab, offering personalized insoles, have been selected and are garnering anticipation as key players who will change the landscape of the future sports market. Jeon Hwa-sung, CEO of CNTTECH, emphasized, "We will continue to provide unwavering support so that sports startups with high growth potential can gain competitiveness not only in the domestic market but also on the global stage," and expressed a strong commitment, stating, "In particular, through active investment using resources from the Sports Fund of Funds, we will build a healthy startup ecosystem where we grow together with our startup companies." The new future of the sports industry that these startups will create is highly anticipated.
