Cloud & N Accelerates Entry into Thailand's Smart City Market… Partnering with Pattaya City! Cloud & N, an AIoT-based energy management specialist, is accelerating its push into the Southeast Asian smart city market. The company recently solidified its presence in the region by agreeing to jointly promote a smart city pilot project with Pattaya City in Thailand. This is a major achievement from the '2025 Korea-ASEAN Service Tech & Smart City Day' event, successfully held in Bangkok, Thailand, from May 29th to 30th. At this event, organized by KOTRA, Cloud & N presented Korea's innovative smart city solutions and successful case studies in Thailand, receiving great interest from local government and industry officials. Amidst over 150 business consultations between 27 Korean companies and Thai government agencies and ordering entities, Cloud & N took the spotlight as a key speaker on the first day of the event. Kim Jung-seok, CEO of Cloud & N, emphasized the global applicability of their AIoT-based integrated energy and facility management platform in his keynote speech. In particular, he revealed tangible achievements where Cloud & N's C-BEMS was applied to BigC stores, a major Thai retail conglomerate, contributing to optimized energy consumption and reduced carbon emissions, thereby presenting a successful local business model. Furthermore, he introduced the excellence of energy monitoring and predictive maintenance technologies verified in domestic public institutions and multi-use facilities through the Ansan Smart City project, emphasizing their flexible applicability to Southeast Asian urban environments. Notably, the AI-based temperature prediction and HVAC control algorithm, which precisely reflects the hot and humid climate characteristics of Southeast Asia, garnered significant attention as a locally customized solution. This technology is a core capability being jointly developed by Korea University and Cloud & N through international collaborative research between the Ministry of Science and ICT of Korea and AI Singapore. The cooperation with Pattaya City will materialize into an energy optimization demonstration project utilizing Cloud & N's Building and Factory Energy Management Systems (BEMS/FEMS). Both parties plan to jointly establish a phased roadmap for selecting pilot areas, enhancing public infrastructure, and introducing carbon-neutral strategies. CEO Kim Jung-seok stated, "This presentation served as an opportunity to prove the effectiveness of Cloud & N's technology not only domestically but also in Southeast Asian urban environments," expressing his ambition to "focus on spreading Korean-style smart city solutions across ASEAN, with Pattaya City as a hub." Cloud & N is expanding its global business, using integrated management services such as BEMS, FEMS, and FMS, with Southeast Asian markets like Thailand, Singapore, and Indonesia as key hubs. Especially from 2024, the company is strengthening its leadership in the industrial energy efficiency market through its FEMS business, which includes Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) functions for manufacturing sites, including automobile manufacturing plants.
