AI-powered learning platform Classum successfully concluded its 'Next-Generation LMS Implementation Case Webinar,' presenting the direction for AI transformation (AX) in university education. In this webinar, held for faculty and staff nationwide, practical leaders from universities that adopted Classum LMS shared the background, process, utilization, and innovative achievements of their transition, receiving great acclaim. Classum LMS offers an innovative learning experience through system integration and scalability, AI teaching assistant features, activation of learning participation through PBL (Project-Based Learning) and discussions, data-driven decision-making, and effective support for practical classes. Adopting universities have shown remarkable quantitative and qualitative results. At Ulsan University, the AI teaching assistant's response rate reached 96.8%, posts increased by 4 times and Q&A by 2 times compared to the previous LMS, and the utilization rate of learning materials rose by 37.4 percentage points. Baehwa Women's University also achieved an AI teaching assistant response rate of approximately 90% and a student-led learning post ratio of 84.4%. In particular, Classum's AI teaching assistant utilizes the latest LLM (Large Language Model) and RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) technologies to provide accurate answers along with their sources, based on the lecture materials uploaded by faculty, thereby solving the problem of hallucinations. It was more actively utilized in subjects with many problem-solving related questions, such as programming, mathematics, and medicine, and significantly contributed to in-depth learning and strengthening students' self-directed problem-solving abilities. Choi Yujin, CEO of Classum, stated, "The cases of Ulsan University and Baehwa Women's University demonstrate a shift in the educational paradigm beyond simple system transition, through the harmony of technology and the educational field." She emphasized, "Classum will continue to lead the AX of university education, creating a more efficient and creative learning environment." Classum is actively used in 32 countries worldwide, and in numerous universities in Korea, including Seoul National University and KAIST.
