Fashion re-commerce platform 'Charan' is emerging as a new strong contender in the luxury pre-owned market. Surprisingly, 83% of luxury items sold out last month, proving its explosive popularity, with outerwear (88%) and bags (84%) recording particularly high sell-out rates, demonstrating fervent demand. Charan, which handles a wide range of brands from luxury and designer to contemporary and SPA, provides a hassle-free 'fulfillment' service to sellers. It presents high-quality products by managing all processes on behalf of sellers, from product collection and professional inspection to sterilization, fragrancing, photography, AI-based pricing, sales, and delivery. Even amidst dampened consumer sentiment and high inflation, Charan is rapidly growing by satisfying the demand for verified premium pre-owned fashion. Last year, it recorded approximately 270,000 items sold, and in the first quarter of this year, it showed a 3.2-fold increase in sales compared to the previous year, boasting high satisfaction as a platform where 'actual transactions actively occur.' The core of this growth lies in its specialized fulfillment system. Charan perfectly guarantees the authenticity and quality of its products through its own inspection center, an in-house expert appraisal team, and collaboration with Korea's largest luxury appraisal institute. Furthermore, it helps set reasonable market prices with an AI-based price analysis system and maximizes transaction success rates by enhancing buyer trust through the introduction of AI model shots that provide images of items being worn.
