CareDoc, a leading senior care platform, once again proved its innovativeness by winning the Minister of Interior and Safety Award, a special prize in the category for outstanding past award-winning companies, at the '13th Pan-Government Public Data Utilization Startup Competition King of Kings Match' held on the 4th.
In this prestigious competition, which encourages the private use of public data and supports startups and commercialization, CareDoc was honored with the special prize, recognized for consistently demonstrating continuous growth and outstanding innovation among past award-winning companies.
CareDoc's core competitiveness lies in integratively connecting care services across the entire life cycle of seniors, based on public data. Its ability to organically link a vast range of care areas, from hospitals and homes to nursing facilities and senior housing, received high praise.
Previously, at the 7th competition in 2019, CareDoc won the Prime Minister's Award for its 'Long-Term Care Facility Finder' service, which utilized data from the National Health Insurance Service and the Health Insurance Review and Assessment Service, thereby gaining early recognition for its potential. At that time, by successfully commercializing the service, it transparently provided evaluation and cost information for nursing facilities, injecting new vitality into a market struggling with information asymmetry.
Since then, CareDoc has continuously expanded its business areas to include caregiver matching, in-home care, and senior housing, and currently boasts an impressive cumulative transaction value of 270 billion won, solidifying its leadership in the senior care market.
Steps towards the future have already begun. CareDoc plans to fully reorganize its platform in the future, centering on the 'Care Facility Finder' function. It announced its ambition to further enhance users' service accessibility and transparency by building an integrated system that connects care services, facility utilization, and even housing.
Park Jaebyeong, CEO of CareDoc, stated regarding this award, "It is a result of our efforts to reduce the social burden of care through the utilization of public data being recognized." He emphasized that going forward, based on accumulated senior care data and operational know-how, they will focus on solving practical problems in the care field and lead the future of senior care.
