## Build Block Successfully Completes Silicon Valley 'MaruSF' Project... Driving K-Startups' Global Leap
U.S. real estate one-stop solution company Build Block successfully led the establishment project of 'MaruSF' in Silicon Valley, the Asan Nanum Foundation's first overseas startup hub, thereby creating a solid bridgehead for domestic startups' global expansion. 'MaruSF', officially opened on the 12th (local time) in Burlingame, San Francisco, is expected to become more than just a space; it will be a dream stage for Korean startups to advance onto the world stage.
Build Block demonstrated exceptional capabilities as the general partner in this project. From exploring and brokering the purchase of optimal real estate properties in the vast Silicon Valley to spearheading extensive renovation work that transformed residential buildings into dynamic work and networking spaces for startups. The approximately 2,225㎡ (about 673 pyeong) space, under Build Block's touch, was reborn as a multi-functional community hub enabling both independent living and efficient work simultaneously, through structural reinforcement and innovative interior redesign.
Notably, Build Block also put significant effort into establishing an integrated online management system to maximize 'MaruSF's operational efficiency. The Asan Nanum Foundation headquarters can monitor real-time space operation status, and resident startups can easily handle all processes from reservations to check-in/out and contract management through a digital platform. This sets a new standard for smart space operation, creating an environment where resident companies can focus solely on innovation and growth.
'MaruSF' will operate as a short-term stay community hub, allowing domestic startups to reside in Silicon Valley for two to six weeks to build local networks and explore the market. Build Block's meticulous planning and execution played a decisive role in establishing this place as an essential space for Korean startups to cultivate global competitiveness.
In addition to 'MaruSF', Build Block has contributed to the expansion of the K-startup ecosystem by supporting the successful establishment of major domestic institutions in Silicon Valley, including the IBK Industrial Bank of Korea ChangGong Silicon Valley office and the Korea Venture Investment (KVIC) Venture Campus.
Jeong Ji-won, CEO of Build Block, emphasized at the opening ceremony, "MaruSF holds deep significance as it goes beyond simple real estate development to establish a robust bridgehead for Korean startups to advance onto the global stage," and expressed his ambition, "Moving forward, Build Block will continue to help Korean startups soar without hesitation in the global market by building innovative infrastructure." This achievement by Build Block is regarded as an important milestone in the history of Korean startups' global expansion.
