AI data foundry startup Bound4 announced on the 9th that it has achieved remarkable growth with its innovative AI data factory construction service 'Foundry,' surpassing 30 cumulative adopting companies.
Established in 2019, Bound4 is a leading company that provides an integrated process covering everything from data design to production and verification, which is core to AI model development. The 'Foundry' service, launched in the first quarter of this year, supplies 'foundation data' optimized for industry-specific purposes in an end-to-end manner, and through a cyclical structure of real data collection, precise simulation, and expert verification, guarantees excellent data accuracy of over 97%.
Among the total of 30 companies that have adopted 'Foundry' to date, manufacturing, including robotics and smart factories, accounts for 40%, and the autonomous driving sector accounts for 25%, indicating a high proportion of 65% for the 'Physical AI' sector. Following this, medical and bio (20%), finance (10%), and logistics and retail (5%) are leading AI innovation in various industries.
According to Bound4's analysis, companies that adopted 'Foundry' dramatically reduced data preparation workload by an average of 75% compared to existing Excel or manual script methods. What's even more surprising is that, without GPU expansion or model structure changes, solely through data quality improvement, they achieved the dramatic result of increasing the answer accuracy of AI models by an average of 20%.
Key success stories include the Korea Electronics Technology Institute (KETI) and Amorepacific. KETI effectively secured previously insufficient real-world data through 'Foundry,' raising robot service success rates to 95% and significantly shortening R&D periods. Amorepacific also applied 'Foundry' to its AI-based production process anomaly automatic detection system, achieving the feat of reducing production idle time by approximately 80%. In addition, leading domestic companies such as Naver Labs and Samsung Electronics are advancing their AI technology through 'Foundry.'
Hwang In-ho, CEO of Bound4, stated, "The 'Foundry' service aims to go beyond simple data construction, helping customers create tangible business value through AI models. Through continuous technological advancement and innovation, we will actively support companies' successful AI adoption journeys."
