K-Beauty's Rising Star, Equalberry! How did it conquer 70 countries and achieve a 20x surge in sales in just a year and a half? Equalberry, a skincare brand from commerce-specialized startup Boosters, has emerged as a new star in the K-Beauty market, expanding its sales channels to over 70 countries worldwide in just a year and a half since its international debut, and recording an astonishing 20-fold increase in Q1 sales compared to the previous year. Equalberry, which revitalizes skin with the energy of nature, began its first international venture on Amazon in the US last January. Through hyper-growth encompassing not only North America but also Southeast Asia, Oceania, and other regions worldwide, it has firmly established itself as the next-generation leader in K-Beauty. Equalberry's success story began by achieving 14th place in the toner category just two months after its entry into Amazon. Subsequently, it expanded its reach to Western Europe and the Middle East through 'YesStyle,' a global beauty platform that ships to over 200 countries. Notably, on Southeast Asia's largest e-commerce platform 'Shopee,' its flagship product 'Pool Toner' proudly clinched the top spot in the toner categories in the Philippines, Singapore, and Malaysia. After establishing itself on major platforms, it actively utilized TikTok marketing to explosively boost brand awareness, driving consistent sales growth across all continents, including North America, Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and Oceania. Currently, Equalberry consistently maintains a spot in the TOP 100 of Amazon US's toner and serum categories, affirming its product quality. Its flagship product, 'Bakuchiol Plumping Serum,' has climbed to the #1 position for the 'Bakuchiol' keyword on Amazon, proving its unique presence in the American market. It is also expanding its influence in the global beauty market by entering the K-Beauty TOP 20 on Shopee. Building on this success, Boosters plans to more actively target the global market by introducing products with ingredients and designs optimized for international markets right from the product development stage. Its next goal is to secure direct distribution channels within the approximately 130 countries it has currently indirectly entered. Choi Yoon-ho, CEO of Boosters, stated, "Equalberry's remarkable achievements are the result of strategic channel operation and marketing synergy, built upon strong product quality." He added, "We will continue to expand our touchpoints with consumers worldwide, firmly establishing ourselves as an icon of the next-generation K-Hallyu and a leading brand representing K-Beauty." Meanwhile, Boosters, which operates Equalberry, is a rapidly growing commerce startup in both domestic and international markets, with its two main pillars being the compression/organization solution 'Brandan' and Equalberry. Last year, it recorded annual sales of KRW 72.8 billion and operating profit of KRW 9.1 billion, and this year it is on the verge of surpassing KRW 100 billion in annual sales.
