Autonomous flight drone startup B GARAGE leads Hyundai Glovis' logistics innovation… achieves 99% inventory accuracy and 90% time reduction Autonomous flight drone startup B GARAGE, which is changing the paradigm of the logistics industry with its innovative camera vision-based autonomous flight technology, is attracting industry attention by setting new standards for automotive parts inventory management through its collaboration with Hyundai Glovis. B GARAGE announced on the 5th that it successfully supplied an autonomous flight drone-based inventory survey automation solution to Hyundai Glovis' HMGMA (Hyundai Motor Group Metaplant America) integrated logistics center in Georgia, USA, achieving a significant milestone in maximizing logistics operational efficiency. In particular, through this implementation, the company quickly identified discrepancies between system inventory and physical inventory, increasing inventory accuracy to over 99%, and achieved a groundbreaking performance by reducing inventory survey time by more than 90% compared to traditional manual inspection methods. This is considered a best practice that not only represents logistics innovation but also demonstrates significant operational cost savings. B GARAGE's core strength lies in its unique 'vertically integrated solution' encompassing both hardware and software. All elements, from web-based user software to computer vision software for precise inventory identification, camera vision-based autonomous flight software, optimized drones and battery packs, and base stations for automatic battery replacement, are self-developed and operated. In particular, the ability to freely navigate logistics warehouses and perform inventory surveys using camera vision technology for autonomous flight even in indoor environments where GPS signals are weak or non-existent is a unique competitive advantage of B GARAGE's solution. All these processes are combined with self-developed software to provide a fully automated inventory survey service. Kim Young-joon, CEO of B GARAGE, emphasized, "This Hyundai Glovis supply case clearly demonstrates that our autonomous flight drone service reduces the burden of human resource operations while enabling faster and more precise inventory management." He also unveiled the company's vision, stating, "Going forward, we plan to actively expand our application areas into various fields such as indoor facility inspection, indoor/outdoor security, and national defense reconnaissance through drone miniaturization and technological advancement." Established by CEO Kim Young-joon, who earned a Ph.D. in AI autonomous systems research at Stanford University and gained experience as a software engineer at Oracle and Google headquarters, B GARAGE is based in the US and Korea. It has secured a total cumulative investment of 37.2 billion won from investors such as SBVA, LB Investment, and Bon Angels Venture Partners, receiving recognition for its technological prowess and growth potential. B GARAGE plans to further solidify its position in the global logistics market through the expansion of its service supply within the Hyundai Glovis HMGMA integrated logistics center.
