South Korean aesthetic medical information platform Babitalk has announced its first overseas expansion with the full launch of its Japanese web service. This is an important stepping stone for targeting the medical tourism market for visitors to Korea.
Along with the surging demand for aesthetic medicine in Japan, interest in Korea's excellent procedure quality and reasonable prices is increasing. However, previously, due to language barriers and information asymmetry, there were significant difficulties in selecting hospitals, comparing prices, and checking reviews.
Based on the unique information and know-how Babitalk has accumulated in the domestic market over the past 13 years, it has decided to enter Japan to resolve this information gap for Japanese consumers. Now, even in Japan, consumers can easily explore information on Korean aesthetic medicine and seamlessly proceed through all processes, from consultation requests to reservations.
The Japanese web service provides prices and hospital information for popular Korean procedures in Japan, such as lifting, fillers, Botox, laser, and skin boosters, allowing users to compare them at a glance. Additionally, users can check information on hospitals offering procedure events and vivid reviews from actual users.
Procedures have become even simpler with direct reservation linking to affiliated Korean hospitals, including plastic surgery clinics, dermatology clinics, oriental medicine clinics, and dental clinics. The availability of Japanese language consultations at each hospital is intuitively indicated by icons, and it also offers the convenience of immediate connection to the hospital's consultation channel when applying for event consultations.
Oh Se-jin, Babitalk's CSO, emphasized, "Babitalk will resolve the information gap and language barriers, which have been the biggest obstacles for Japanese consumers in choosing Korean aesthetic procedures," and expressed his ambition to "actively consider expanding services to other countries using the Japanese market as a bridgehead, and leap forward as a global aesthetic medical platform."
