AWS Generative AI Accelerator: 2 Korean Companies Make Global Top 40, Showcase Competitiveness
AWS Selects 40 Startups for Global Generative AI Accelerator Batch 3…Including 2 Korean Companies Amazon Web Services (AWS) has selected 40 companies worldwide to participate in the 'AWS Generative AI Accelerator' Batch 3 program, which supports early-stage startups innovating generative AI-based technologies. Notably, in Korea, robotics specialist 'Realworld (RLWRLD)' and Korean and Asian language model developer 'Trillion Labs' proudly made the list, demonstrating their global competitiveness. This intensive 8-week program provides each selected startup with up to $1 million in AWS credits. In addition, it offers matching with business and technical mentors and exclusive access to AWS's cutting-edge generative AI technology stack, accelerating all-around growth, including improving machine learning performance, optimizing technology stacks, and establishing successful market entry strategies. This will be a crucial foundation for promising startups to overcome technical challenges and quickly pave the way for commercialization. The 40 companies selected this time come from various parts of the world, including 17 from North America, 10 from Asia-Pacific and Japan, 8 from Europe, Middle East, and Africa, and 5 from Latin America. They are showcasing innovative ideas in diverse industries such as software, healthcare, financial services, and robotics. Korea's Realworld is a leading company that develops Robotics Foundation Models (RFM) to support the automation of complex physical tasks in industrial settings. Ryu Junghui, CEO of Realworld, expressed his anticipation, stating, "Leveraging AWS's powerful AI and infrastructure will be a significant turning point in commercializing RFM for humanoid robot control." Trillion Labs is expanding the horizons of AI technology by developing language models specialized in Korean and Asian languages. Shin Jaemin, CEO of Trillion Labs, stated, "Being selected for this AWS program is a meaningful achievement, acknowledging our technological prowess and innovation in global competition," and expressed his ambition to accelerate efficient learning and service expansion for large-scale models through AWS infrastructure, striving for Korean generative AI technology to become a global standard. Sherry Karmandiashti, Head of North American Startup Business at AWS, emphasized, "The companies selected this year strengthen our mission to accelerate innovation and deliver tangible impact to customers across all industries." The accelerator program began on October 14 at Amazon's Seattle headquarters and will conclude in December at 'AWS re:Invent 2025' in Las Vegas. Participating startups will showcase their innovative solutions to investors, customers, and AWS leaders at this event, seeking opportunities for business expansion. AWS is fostering the next generation of generative AI leaders and contributing to the development of the future technology ecosystem through this program.
