Ant Unveils 'Labnote Scholar,' an AI Assistant to Lead Innovation in Bio, Nano, and Chemical Research
Researchers in the fields of bio, nano, and chemistry have struggled to focus on core research, exhausted by vast amounts of data and administrative tasks. To address these challenges, Ant, a specialized DT/AI company for bio, nano, and chemistry founded by KAIST alumni, has officially launched its AI research assistant 'Labnote Scholar,' opening new horizons for research efficiency. This innovative solution is designed to free researchers from additional work burdens, allowing them to focus solely on 'research' and 'experiments.'
A core feature of Labnote Scholar is its ability to automatically generate drafts of various documents, such as lab notebooks and reports, based on research and experimental data. This saves researchers valuable time and significantly reduces the hassle of document preparation. Furthermore, it provides answers to researchers' queries with accurate sources specified, through rapid searches encompassing both external resources and internal research data, dramatically shortening the time spent on information retrieval. Now, researchers can instantly obtain the information they need without having to wade through complicated piles of data.
Labnote Scholar, launched as a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS), offers a wide range of options, from a free basic plan to enterprise plans. This allows not only large research institutions but also individual researchers and graduate students with budget and personnel constraints to utilize this innovative AI research assistant according to their needs and scale. It is expected to lower the barrier to research and contribute to creating an environment where more talented individuals can focus on the inherent value of research.
Lee Sang-yoon, CEO of Ant, stated his ambition, saying, "Labnote Scholar will greatly help individual researchers and graduate students systematically manage their research data and streamline their research processes. Our ultimate goal is for it to become a unique standard tool that boosts the research productivity of researchers in the bio, nano, and chemistry fields, just as GitHub revolutionized developer productivity in the IT development sector." In addition to 'Labnote Scholar,' Ant is leading the digitalization of research environments by providing its research data management solution 'Labnote' and digital transformation consulting services to companies, research institutions, hospitals, and schools.
Ant's Labnote Scholar will be a powerful tool that resolves persistent inefficiencies for researchers in the bio, nano, and chemistry fields, enabling more creative and in-depth research activities.
