Baby care brand Aiko has officially launched 'Aiko Zero', an infant nasal aspirator equipped with an innovative BLDC motor, setting a new standard in the parenting market. This Class 2 medical device safely removes nasal secretions for children who have difficulty blowing their own nose, aiding smooth breathing, and is an essential item for relieving nasal congestion caused by colds, rhinitis, etc. According to the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS), it can also help improve mouth breathing, feeding, and sleep disorders caused by nasal congestion. The core of 'Aiko Zero' is its adoption of a BLDC motor instead of the AC motors or vacuum pumps commonly used in existing infant nasal aspirators. This achieves a powerful suction pressure of up to 20kPa (150mmHg) and a rich suction flow rate of 65 liters per minute. Among infant nasal aspirators registered in the MFDS medical device database, 'Aiko Zero' is the only product to apply a BLDC motor, earning recognition for driving technological advancement. A brand official explained, “Aiko Zero not only boasts excellent suction performance but also effectively controls noise and heat through precise electromagnetic control and design.” The suction head, which directly touches children's skin, is made from platinum-cured silicone and Tritan material, ensuring both biocompatibility and durability. Furthermore, it can be hygienically mounted on the main unit using a magnetic system, demonstrating careful consideration for user convenience. Node, the manufacturer that developed 'Aiko Zero', is a technology-based healthcare startup that has been developing electronic drugs and medical devices based on electromagnetic control technology. It has been recognized for its outstanding technological capabilities, having been selected for the government's 'Super-Gap Startup 1000+ Project (Deep-Tech TIPS)' and Samsung Electronics' 'C-Lab Outside'. Park Ji-hoon, CEO of Node, stated, “Starting with the launch of 'Aiko Zero', we have completed clinical trials and are dedicating ourselves to technology development with the goal of globally launching 'Aiko Pro', a non-invasive rhinitis treatment device.” He added, “Our goal is to continuously introduce technologically sophisticated products through the Aiko brand, becoming a trusted brand that consumers can confidently choose in terms of performance, quality, materials, and functionality.”
