Featuring, a global specialized AI social data analysis company, is finally making a full-fledged entry into the Japanese market. By recently establishing a Japanese subsidiary, it has laid the groundwork for expanding its global social data AI analysis business beyond Asia.
Featuring already last year, introduced 'Featuring Japan,' an AI influencer marketing solution optimized for the Japanese business environment, knocking on the door of the local market. Achieving the feat of being selected for the BDCT (Business Development Center Tokyo) program, a support project for promising overseas companies organized by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government, it has also accelerated the building of business infrastructure and partnerships.
At its core is its proprietary data engine, 'Featuring AI'. This powerful system, which collects and analyzes over 18 million influencer channels and 400 million social media contents in real-time, automates the entire process from influencer selection to marketing proposals, campaign management, and performance analysis, thereby revolutionizing marketers' work efficiency.
The Japanese market, currently boosted by the explosive popularity of K-culture, is rapidly emerging as a major cross-border e-commerce market for Korean beauty and fashion brands. Alongside this, influencer marketing activities are also actively expanding. In fact, out of last year's cross-border e-commerce export total of $2.904 billion, Japan accounted for an overwhelming $1.044 billion, taking the top spot. Furthermore, the Japanese influencer marketing market is projected to grow at an average annual rate of 15.1% until 2029, expanding to a size of 164.5 billion yen, making it an unparalleled land of opportunity for Featuring.
Taking the establishment of its Japanese subsidiary as an opportunity, Featuring plans to focus on building close partnerships with local digital marketing agencies. Furthermore, its strategy is to expand local talent recruitment, and actively participate in offline business expos and marketing conferences, to enhance brand awareness and establish a strong network.
Jang Ji-hoon, CEO of Featuring, stated, "In the Japanese market, trust and offline networking are key to business." He added, "Through the establishment of this subsidiary, we will strengthen cooperation with local companies, and leverage our success in Japan as a stepping stone to establish ourselves as a leading brand in social data analysis in the Asian and global markets." It is anticipated what kind of new momentum Featuring will bring to the global social data analysis market beyond Japan.
