Robus, an AI-based agricultural IP solution company, is drawing attention from the industry by achieving 10 billion won in sales in just about two years since its founding, far exceeding its 2025 revenue target of 6 billion won.
The core of this rapid growth lies in Robus's unique AI solution, 'Genix'. Genix deeply analyzes over 420,000 global varietal data points, along with country-specific cultivation environments, climate, and distribution market data, to select varieties optimized for specific countries and accurately predict their commercialization potential. Through this innovative technology, Robus has achieved the remarkable feat of reducing the time required from traditional variety development (breeding) to commercialization by over 50%.
Utilizing Genix, Robus has selected approximately 200 new varieties in major agricultural countries such as the United States and Mexico and verified their commercial success potential through local pilot cultivation. Notably, by successfully producing its own private brand product, 'Naeeum,' using secured rice varietal IP and exporting it to the U.S., the company is accumulating achievements. Through collaborations with local farmers and related companies, Robus is opening new horizons in the U.S. rice market, where Japanese varieties are dominant. Beyond rice, the company is expanding its varietal IP to strategic crops for each country, building a commercialization model that encompasses the entire process from selection, cultivation, to distribution.
Robus CEO Park Chang-jun stated, "Robus is proving itself to be a leading company that goes beyond being a simple Ag-tech enterprise, overcoming the challenges faced by agriculture, such as climate change and global supply risks, with data and AI technology." He emphasized, "We will continue to innovate across the entire process, from breeding to global distribution."
Robus, having demonstrated solid business potential, buoyed by the advancement of its Genix solution, has raised its 2026 revenue target to 20 billion won. Furthermore, it recently successfully attracted 2 billion won in Pre-A investment, achieving a total cumulative investment of 2.7 billion won. Leading investors such as Korea Investment Accelerator, KB-KTB, KDB NextOne, and the Korea Agricultural Policy Insurance and Finance Agency are supporting Robus's future growth, recognizing its potential. Robus plans to further expand its commercialization cases, focusing on proven varietal IP.
