K-fashion's entry onto the global stage is gaining further momentum. Style commerce platform Ably is accelerating the strengthening of K-fashion's overseas distribution network by establishing a global-exclusive fulfillment center in Seongsu-dong, Seoul. Unlike most logistics centers located on the outskirts of Seoul, establishing a base in Seongsu-dong, a key commercial district in the city center, is a highly strategic move. This aims to secure excellent accessibility to Dongdaemun wholesale markets while simultaneously providing both symbolic value and convenience to domestic sellers aspiring to the global market. This facility, located a minute's walk from the existing Seongsu logistics center and scheduled for completion this month, aims to maximize logistics efficiency by completely separating previously integrated domestic and international logistics, and to establish an infrastructure system optimized for global distribution. Behind this bold investment is the explosive growth of the Japanese service 'amood'. The number of markets entering amood has exceeded 18,000, and as of June this year, the number of products sold has surged by more than 3.6 times compared to the same period last year. Bolstered by this, amood's transaction volume in the first half of the year recorded a remarkable growth rate of 50% year-on-year, driving a surge in overseas cargo volume. The newly established logistics center is expected to become a key hub for expanding K-fashion's reach across Asia, starting with Japan and extending to Taiwan and beyond. It will serve as a springboard for easier and faster global expansion for domestic sellers, and as a channel to deliver excellent K-fashion products more quickly and accurately to overseas consumers. Kang Seok-hoon, CEO of Ably, emphasized that this investment "will be an opportunity for small and medium-sized sellers, including one-person sellers and nascent markets, to maximize their global potential," and expressed his commitment to spare no effort in supporting K-sellers to shine even brighter on the world stage. This global-exclusive fulfillment center is expected to be a crucial turning point for K-fashion to take another leap forward in the global market.
