Wave Company, an innovative wearable and sports medical specialist company from Korea, is emerging as a leader in the global sports tech market. It recently received an official invitation to the ASPN (Asia Sports Tech Pioneer Network) sports tech accelerator program held in Tokyo, Japan, further strengthening its position on the global stage. This achievement is built upon Wave Company's technology, which was recognized early on when it was selected as a 'Global Winner' at the HYPE SPIN accelerator in 2020. The ASPN program is a global platform that supports startups integrating sports and advanced technology. Participating companies refine their global market entry strategies through world-class mentoring, extensive networking opportunities, and funding support. Amidst the large attendance of major investors like Incubate Fund and industry officials, Wave Company garnered significant attention by showcasing its innovative fitness solution 'TracMe' at the demo show on February 6. Wave Company's core technology is 'TracSil,' a strain soft sensor developed in-house. TracMe, based on this sensor, is capable of precisely measuring joint angles and meticulously monitoring movements, earning praise for opening new horizons in the sports and healthcare fields. Its applications are especially boundless, including rehabilitation therapy, elderly health management, and industrial environment monitoring, which garnered high expectations from buyers on site. Participation in the ASPN program is adding significant momentum to Wave Company's global expansion strategy. Following its CES 2024 Digital Health Innovation Award, it has also demonstrated its technological prowess at Germany's prestigious MEDICA 2024 and ISPO 2024, and is actively discussing collaborations with major partners in the US and Europe. To penetrate the European market, the company is continuing aggressive moves, such as establishing its UK branch (Wavewear UK) last January. Notably, by using the global fitness race HYROX competition as a marketing foothold, Ambassador Tommy, wearing Wave Company's products, recently secured 3rd place at the HYROX competition in Turin, Italy, proving the excellence of the products and the effectiveness of the sponsorship. Jo Na-yeon, CEO of Wave Company, stated, "Through ASPN, we were able to significantly enhance our competitiveness in the global sports tech market," and expressed the ambition that "Wave Company will become a global leader through continuous innovation in the rapidly growing wearable and smart fitness market." Wave Company plans to leverage this opportunity to further solidify its leadership in the global sports tech market.
