Digital content company TrueLight Korea has launched a vertical e-book service utilizing Disney and Pixar IP. TrueLight Korea simultaneously released the global picture book platform ‘PENTA’ in 74 countries worldwide, including the Asia-Pacific region and South America. PENTA has adopted a reading style that scrolls up and down, similar to webtoons, to fit mobile environments. With this launch, over 100 stories from Disney and Pixar have been unveiled, and there are plans to expand the content to a total of 2,000 stories through sequential updates. Key titles in the lineup include , , and . The platform also supports multilingual learning features. Users can select up to three languages to view simultaneously among Korean, English, Japanese, and Spanish. The company has announced plans to include simplified Chinese support by 2026. Han Jeong-yoon, CEO of TrueLight Korea, stated, “This platform is designed for children to explore various pictures and languages.” Meanwhile, the company has decided to implement PENTA in classes at certain educational institutions in Seoul and mentioned plans to expand its utilization in educational settings in the future.
