Thumbs Shine to Officially Launch Non-Contact AI Solution 'Bokdori' on April 1st... Opening New Horizons in Elderly Care Thumbs Shine, an artificial intelligence (AI) specialist company in the field of fall detection and sleep analysis, will officially launch 'Bokdori,' an innovative care solution for the safety and sound sleep of the elderly, on April 1st, setting a new standard for customized technology in an aging society. 'Bokdori' utilizes cutting-edge technology, a non-contact biosignal measurement sensor, to precisely detect the heart rate, respiratory rate, and movement of the elderly in real-time. This measured data is securely transmitted to web and D/B servers, serving as an integrated care system that not only proactively detects and notifies of fall risks but also, through in-depth sleep analysis, provides detailed patterns of changes in the overall health status of the elderly. In particular, 'Bokdori' is a 'Korean-style Tiny A.I Care Service' born as the result of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signed by Thumbs Shine with Hanyang University ERICA AI Convergence Research Institute (Director Kang Kyung-tae) on February 12th. This solution, developed through close collaboration with the research institute, is expected to make a groundbreaking contribution to the safety management and improvement of sleep quality for the elderly, which are key challenges in an aging society. Not stopping there, the vast amount of data accumulated and meticulously processed through 'Bokdori' will serve as an important foundation for building a 'Korean-style Tiny AI System' in the future. The AI system built in this way is planned to be widely applied in the field of non-face-to-face medical services through linkage with medical institutions such as hospitals, and it has the potential to raise the accessibility and efficiency of medical services for the elderly to a new level. 'Bokdori' has a very wide range of application as it can be used as an effective solution not only in specialized facilities such as nursing homes and long-term care hospitals but also for the safety and sound sleep care of elderly individuals living alone. A representative from Thumbs Shine stated, "Existing elderly care solutions have experienced many difficulties due to accuracy degradation caused by noise or complex installation processes," and emphasized that "'Bokdori' significantly improves these issues based on in-depth experience gained from actual sites, providing a more reliable and convenient care environment."
