TechTaka, which has rapidly grown by operating 'Argo', a global integrated logistics platform, is accelerating its entry into the global market by establishing a local subsidiary in Tokyo, Japan. This is regarded as a strategic move to further enhance its global logistics competitiveness.
Since its establishment in 2020, TechTaka has successfully integrated over 600 e-commerce channels worldwide, including TikTok Shop, Qoo10, Shopify, and Naver Smartstore. It has built unique competitiveness by providing customers with a one-stop logistics solution that covers everything from air and sea transportation to Amazon FBA services.
The establishment of this Japanese subsidiary is a key step in this global strategy. This decision reflects the high demand for reverse direct purchases of Korean products such as K-beauty, fashion, and convenient meals, and the importance of the Japanese market, which accounts for 25% of its total sales. In response to the increasing requests from clients wishing to expand into Japan, TechTaka chose to establish a local base to support smooth and rapid fulfillment services.
The Japanese subsidiary plans to strengthen its presence in the Japanese market by handling deliveries through local logistics partnerships and providing comprehensive logistics services including customs clearance, local warehousing, and regulatory compliance. Furthermore, it plans to significantly expand its logistics infrastructure across major global hubs, including building logistics centers in Europe, Southeast Asia, as well as the Central and Eastern United States.
Yang Soo-young, CEO of TechTaka, expressed strong determination, stating, "Through the operation of our directly managed warehouse in Japan, we will actively support domestic sellers' entry into Japan's TikTok Shop, and implement not only reverse direct purchasing but also two-way logistics services from Japan to Korea."
TechTaka's selection as an Amazon Service Provider Network (SPN) partner, securing a third investment from Naver D2SF, and achieving a same-day shipping rate approaching 100% since joining the Naver Fulfillment Alliance (NFA) clearly demonstrate its excellent service capabilities and potential for market leadership. With this expansion into Japan as a stepping stone, TechTaka is ready to leap forward as a company leading global logistics innovation.
