Petnow, First Korean Company Selected for Purina 'Unleashed 2025'... European Market Entry Intensifies Petnow, an innovative pet tech company in Korea, has achieved the remarkable feat of being the first Korean company selected for 'Unleashed 2025', a global accelerating program hosted by Nestlé Purina. Rated as the top pet sector accelerator covering Europe, Asia, Oceania, and Africa, this program intensively supports the innovation and growth of promising pet tech startups for 20 weeks each year. Now in its 6th year, it has been discovering companies that will lead the future of the global pet care market. Petnow has once again demonstrated its unique technological prowess and growth potential by becoming the fifth company, following Samsung Electronics, POSCO, NVIDIA, and Google Korea, to participate in a large corporation-linked accelerating program. Through this selection, Petnow plans to actively leverage Nestlé Purina's unparalleled mentorship, extensive industry network, in-depth market insights, and vast consumer big data. Based on this, it anticipates generating strong synergy in the European pet B2C and B2B sectors. The six other selected companies are pet tech startups from Singapore, Thailand, Switzerland, Italy, Poland, and Brazil, and Petnow has already initiated a business contract with one of them, signaling a green light for global cooperation. Petnow's core technology is a proprietary solution that automatically recognizes dogs' nose prints and cats' faces using AI, capturing them clearly at high speed. This innovation garnered global attention by winning the Best of Innovation Award at CES 2022, the world's largest consumer electronics show, and has attracted a cumulative investment of 6.9 billion Korean Won to date, receiving high market expectations. Lim Jun-ho, CEO of Petnow, stated, "We are delighted to have established an important foothold for entering the European market through the selection for the Unleashed by Purina program," and expressed his ambition to "focus on improving product suitability for the characteristics of the European market, thereby establishing ourselves as a global leader in pet biometric identification solutions." Meanwhile, Petnow is solidifying its global presence by achieving tangible results in overseas markets, such as signing a technology supply agreement last January with Vetmaster, South Africa's largest animal clinic management software company. In addition to its pet biometric identification technology, the company also possesses advanced technology that automatically extracts breed, body length, and other information from pet photos using AI to provide data on genetic diseases and obesity levels, further highlighting its growth potential.
