'Jipsasaenghwal', which opened within the Petfriends app in September 2023, has seen its cumulative number of experienced users increase by an astounding 29 times, and as of December 2024, cumulative content views exceeded 2.08 million, proving its enthusiastic reception from users. The success of 'Jipsasaenghwal' goes beyond simple information exchange, manifesting as a powerful sales-driving effect. Products that become popular within the community lead to an immediate surge in sales. For example, the 'Petrium Soft Cushion', after emerging as popular content, saw its sales skyrocket by 979.9% compared to the previous week, demonstrating remarkable performance. A Petfriends official stated, "A total of 21 products showed a sales increase of over 300% due to community exposure over two months," adding that this means more than 10 products each month are discovered through consumers' voluntary participation, resulting in sales expanding more than threefold. The core driving force behind this success is the 2030 MZ generation pet parents who are highly passionate about raising pets. These users, who constitute 77% of all customers, share detailed usage experiences and reviews closely related to real life, forming high credibility and deep empathy that decisively influences other consumers' purchasing decisions. Furthermore, 'Jipsasaenghwal' enhances the reliability of health information by providing professional veterinary consultation services. The average views for veterinary consultation content are 2.5 times higher than general pet care information content, demonstrating that it satisfies users' thirst for specialized information. The app visit frequency of community users was found to be 1.6 times higher than that of non-users, proving that 'Jipsasaenghwal' goes beyond simple content consumption, contributing to customer loyalty and platform activation. Yoon Hyun-shin, CEO of Petfriends, stated, "'Jipsasaenghwal' is rapidly growing by generating not only pet care know-how and useful item sharing but also professional consultations and commerce linkage effects." He emphasized that they will continue to strengthen user-centric services to develop it into a platform where customers, merchants, and Petfriends can grow together. Meanwhile, Petfriends successfully turned a profit in May last year, surpassing its monthly break-even point, and is maintaining robust growth, including exceeding 100 billion won in Gross Merchandise Volume (GMV) and recording an operating profit.
